GREENVILLE, NC – Exciting things are happening at Hancock Peanut Company! We are thrilled to announce our latest partnership with talented artist Lauren Kinlaw, who is bringing her creative vision to life in a way that pays tribute to our beloved peanuts. This unique collaboration blends the worlds of fine art and culinary excellence, celebrating the essence of what makes Hancock Peanuts so special.
Lauren Kinlaw, known for her striking and evocative artwork, has a deep appreciation for the natural world and the stories it tells. Kinlaw graduated from East Carolina University in ’08 with a BFA in Art Education and again in ’10 with a BFA Studio Art with a concentration in Printmaking. Inspired by the tradition, craftsmanship, and rich history of peanut farming, she is creating an original piece of art featuring none other than our delicious peanuts as the focal point. Through this artistic endeavor, she seeks to capture the texture, warmth, and rustic beauty of one of America’s favorite snacks in a way never seen before.
“Peanuts have been a staple in my life and in so many homes and cultures, and I love the idea of capturing their significance through my art,” says Kinlaw. “Working with Hancock Peanut Company has given me a deeper appreciation for the dedication and care that goes into every single batch of peanuts they produce. My goal is to bring that same level of detail and passion into this piece. AND my first job (age 12) was selling green and boiled peanuts.”
