Ingredients:
- 1 cup Hancock’s Salted Cocktail Nuts
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions:
- In a small saucepan, combine the honey, soy sauce, ginger, cinnamon, and cayenne pepper (if using).
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, or until the glaze has thickened slightly.
- Remove the glaze from the heat and stir in the peanuts.
- Pour the peanuts onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake the peanuts in a preheated oven at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 10-15 minutes, or until the glaze is set.
- Let the peanuts cool completely before serving.
Tips:
- For a more intense ginger flavor, use fresh ginger instead of ground ginger.
- If you don’t have cayenne pepper, you can omit it or substitute another ground spice, such as cumin or paprika.
- You can also add other ingredients to the honey glaze, such as chopped dried fruit, nuts, or seeds.
- Honey glazed peanuts are a great snack or party food. Serve them with crackers, celery sticks, or pita bread.
