There are plenty of signs that fall is on the way. The days are getting shorter. Somebody, somewhere, has already put a pumpkin on the porch. But around here, we watch for another sign of the season: temperatures dropping low enough for our Chocolate Covered Peanuts to make their return.

Chocolate and hot shipping weather are not exactly best friends, so these seasonal favorites have to wait until average temperatures settle around 80 degrees or below. When that happens, it’s officially chocolate peanut season. If you’ve had them before, you already know why people wait for them.
